We were commissioned by Ackerman Studios to collaborate with artist Ewan David Eason on Sacred Path, one of our most ambitious mural projects to date. This impressive artwork, measuring 7.2 × 5.4 metres, combines 24 carat gold leaf with acrylic paint and was created for Memorial Houston Medical, South Kensington, London.
Sacred Path is the world’s largest handmade map of London, meticulously hand-painted to include all the major roads, with the River Thames hand-gilded in 24 carat gold leaf. The hospital’s location at 169 Fulham Road is highlighted with platinum leaf at the centre of the mural.
The River Thames flows from the entrance to the exit of the room, symbolising a sacred journey reflecting health, wealth, and the path of life. Paired with Salem Et Benedicto—a blessing artwork at the hospital entrance—these pieces together create a meaningful environment of blessing, nurture, and care for all who enter.
We’re honoured to have been part of this unique and inspiring project, combining artistic vision with technical skill to deliver a truly exceptional experience.
