Pricing a project

Because we offer a bespoke service, there are many factors to take into consideration when we calculate the costs. We use a value-based pricing model that gives the best deal to our clients and our artists.

We work with a variety of companies and individuals and the kind of client you are can make a difference to how and what we charge.  Every day brings a new type of collaboration, including private commissions for residential premises, commercial companies, interior design and advertising agencies, small businesses and start-ups, cultural institutions, restaurants and bars. Whatever category you fall into, we’ll be happy to work with you.

However, it does mean that we don’t have a fixed price list to display upfront. The cost of a project depends on a number of factors, including:

  • What you need
  • The size of the project
  • Where you are based
  • What medium is to be used
  • The amount of surface preparation required
  • The level of detail and complexity of the work
  • The style and the artist needed
  • The amount of creative planning needed

We take all of this and more into consideration to give you a realistic and competitive quote. To speed up that process, we've put together a few questions of our own to help you refine your project, and have added a bit more information on how the process works.

Starting with ideas

Think about your project and what you are trying to achieve.

What type of premises?

How large is the area to be painted?

Do you have a particular style in mind?

What medium or materials would you like to use?

Are you open to suggestion?

Do you already have a brand image that you need/want to match?

Is there are particular atmosphere you want to create?

Do you have a particular message/story that you want to convey?

Conceptualisation

We’ll then ask you a range of questions so that we fully understand and clarify exactly what it is that you need. This will enable us to work out a creation time.

Creation time quotation

The creation time is exactly what it sounds like – it’s the time it takes to create the artwork you need. Taking into account all the factors from blue-printing your ideas to completing the finished work. We can then give you an initial costing.

Planning and preliminaries

Next, we'll create a series of designs that reflect the ideas we have discussed. We’ll examine them with you and make any adjustments until you're completely satisfied.

Final designs

Once we present the final designs, we can give you the full details of materials and medium, style and artist, and the time needed to complete the final project.

We would then present an accurate quotation. Once agreed, this would only be revised if the scope of the project changes, or if you want more revisions than were agreed. Our terms and conditions are written in plain English, so clients can easily understand the details of each project.

At the end of the day, what we look for is the chance to do interesting, creative, challenging and inspiring work, so if you have a great project, let’s talk.
